Employee Appreciation

Employee Service Year Recognitions
The City of Creedmoor's management recognizes the importance of retaining quality employees. One way we show appreciation for our employees is by presenting Service Year Certificates at five-year intervals. Employees are presented with their certificate in open session by the Mayor and receive a service year pin they can display with pride.

LT. Cates Receives 15-Year Service Award
Investigative Lt. Ricky Cates recently received his 15-year service award, in October, presented by Mayor Darryl Moss.  Prior to his promotion to Lieutenant in 2007, Ricky spent 5 years with the department as a patrol officer.

Cates has served as Interim Chief and held the Chain of Command title as Captain for about a year, before the reorganization of CPD took place. The city extends our appreciation to Lt. Cates for his dedication and devotion.

2017 Annual Employee Appreciation Day
In April 2017, the City of Creedmoor held its Sixth Annual Employee Appreciation Day at Lake Rogers Park. Employees from various departments volunteered their skills and time to plan and work this event.

Each employee received a humorous "Creedy" award showcasing their unique personalities as nominated by their coworkers.  For the second year in a row, Detective Eugene Harris was honored with the Silver Bullet Award by his fellow law enforcement officers for the mentoring & support he has shown to them throughout the past year.
