Monet & Sorbet Painting Class

A painting class partnering kids ages 6+ with an adult to create their own monster masterpieces.

Monet and Sorbet: A Family Friendly Painting Class

Creedmoor Parks & Recreation is excited to bring a new twist to the group painting trend with the first parent and child art class, Monet & Sorbet!  Recommended for ages 6 and older, one adult will team up with their favorite young person to assist each other in creating their own individual monster masterpieces. Monet & Sorbet is the perfect opportunity for an afternoon out where participants can paint and explore their inner artist!

Rachel Evancavich, a local art teacher at Granville Central High School, will instruct step-by-step painting classes.  A graduate of Marywood University with degrees in BFA Studio Art, Teachers Certification, and MA Art Education, Rachel will lead the class in creating their own piece of artwork.  The session will be hosted at Carolina Cotton (formerly The Rack) at 207 North Main Street on Sunday, August 25 from 4-6pm.

Advance registration is required and a program fee of $25 per set of 1 adult and 1 child is due in advance.  Participants can now register and pay online for all recreation programs!  Just visit cityofcreedmoor.org/MerlotVanGogh and click on the “Register Here” logo (a $1.50 convenience fee will apply).  Registration forms are also available for download at the website URL listed above and can be submitted in person at City Hall or by email with payment made via credit card over the phone.

For more information, please contact Creedmoor Parks and Recreation at (919) 764-1013 or email to recreation@cityofcreedmoor.org.
