RECRUITMENT

DESCRIPTION: The City of Creedmoor is currently seeking a Police K9 Officer to join our department. The Creedmoor Police Department consists of 24 full-time sworn law enforcement positions, 4 full-time telecommunicators, and 3 part-time officers.

QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates must meet requirements including a current NC BLET Certification, and a valid NC driver’s license with a clean driving record. Selected candidates may be required to participate in an assessment board. Preference given to officers with prior K9 Handler experience. Final candidate(s) will be required to submit to a comprehensive background investigation, medical and drug screening and a psychological consult.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:   The starting salary for this position is expected to be in the range of $52,000 - $62,000 and will be based on qualifications and experience. Officers who live within 30 miles of the city limits of Creedmoor may participate in the vehicle take home program.
