Tar River Land Conservancy Trail Building
Interested in ecology, nature and the great outdoors? We invite you to participate in building trails for your community. Tar River Land Conservancy currently has 3 miles of trails open to the public at the trailhead located at 3189 Brogden Road, Stem, NC 27581. An average of 17 people a day use the trails! Volunteers and community groups have been working to complete 2½ more miles of trails that will be opened at a new trailhead at 3258 Old NC-75 in March. About 1½ miles of the new trails are nearly completed! Would your group like a community service project or are you a student needing community service hours for clubs or honor societies? Contact us today! Special dates can be arranged for company team-building events, groups or clubs. Volunteers presently meet every Wednesday from 9-12, and every other Saturday. Pre-registration requested. Show your community spirit today - Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 919-496-5902.
We also have a fall guided hike coming up on Nov. 17:
