Creedmoor Parks & Recreation Committee Seeks Applicants
The Creedmoor Parks and Recreation Committee (CPRC) is seeking community oriented volunteers to serve two year terms on this advisory committee beginning September 2019.
This committee provides recommendations to the Creedmoor Parks and Recreation Department, the City Manager, and the Board of Commissioners regarding policies, fees, facilities, community programs, long-range planning, and acquisition/disposition of land. In addition, its members expand upon departmental goals and objectives to provide citizen and community stake-holder perspectives, serve as a liaison between city officials and citizens, strive to maintain a high standard for a visually appealing community through the effective management of natural, human, and financial resources, and work toward developing public interest in activities provided by recreation staff.
The CPRC strives to maintain a well-rounded representation of Creedmoor. Consisting of ten members, the CPRC includes city residents and key stakeholders from the city’s business, land development, education, senior, youth, and faith-based communities. If you or someone you know is interested, please consider applying today!
The CPRC meets the second Tuesday of February, April, June, August, October and December at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
