Acceptable Recycle Materials - Single Stream Residential Mix:

  • Plastic Containers Numbers 1-7 (Leave Caps On)
  • Aluminum Beverage Cans
  • Aluminum Foils
  • Green, Brown, and Clear Glass Containers (Leave Caps On)
  • Steel, Tin, and Aluminum Food Cans
  • Empty Aerosol Cans
  • Newspaper
  • Office Paper, Copy Paper, Colored Paper, Construction Paper 
  • Cereal Boxes, Cracker Boxes, Beverage Boxes, Shoe Boxes (All Paperboard)
  • Magazines
  • Junk Mail 
  • Aseptic Cartons, Milk Cartons, Soy Milk Cartons, Juice Cartons, Gable-Top Cartons
  • Telephone Books
  • Corrugated Cardboard (keep separate at convenience sites)
  • Mixed Rigid Plastics (limited to under 2 feet)
  • Fluorescents & Mercury Devices 

Unacceptable Materials:

  • Mirrors, Window or Auto Glass, Ceramics
  • Plastic Bags (Grocery, Shopping, Bread, Newspaper, Dry Cleaning)
  • Hard Cover Books
  • Styrofoam or Polystyrene (Cups, Lunch Trays, Packing Material)
  • PVC Pipe/Tubing or Vinyl Siding
  • Hazardous Wastes
  • LED Light Bulbs 
  • Antifreeze Containers
  • Household Items (such as Toasters, Cooking Pots or Pans)
  • Coat Hangers
