Christmas Tree Lighting

Creedmoor's annual Christmas Tree Lighting marks the beginning of the holiday season and is a fun event for all!  Each year residents and visitors gather for the ceremony in front of City Hall at 111 Masonic Street. The tree is illuminated by hundreds of lights and brings joy to the crowd attending when the lights are turned on.

Students and choirs from surrounding schools sing carols, and Santa makes an appearance to begin preparing his list for Christmas and to take pictures with the children. This is a free event and all residents are invited to attend.

Christmas Parade

Parade participants roll through with candy for all; there are plenty of floats and parade goers to make the day a festive event!  The parade features a very special Grand Marshal, holiday floats, marching bands, and of course, Santa himself!

The Creedmoor Christmas Parade is a fun-filled event for both participants and spectators.  Parade instructions and rules are designed to remind participants that sometimes even the most innocent actions can provoke significant problems in a crowded area.  The rules are in place to ensure that we have an orderly, safe and joyful parade.  Please communicate these rules to all members of your parade entry.

Day of event registration is required.  Registration begins at 9:30 AM and closes promptly at 10:30 AM at the intersection of Main Street and E. Church Street.  Only one representative from your group is required at time of registration.  All vehicles participating in the parade must be in the staging area by 10:30 AM and a driver must remain with the vehicle at all times.

Parade Line-Up
