DMV Mobile Units cancelled until further notice
Before your driver license expires, the NC DMV will mail you a reminder card explaining the number of years it will be valid. The reminder card is not required in order to renew. When it is time to renew, you can either go to a local DMV office, or visit the mobile DMV unit that comes to Creedmoor.
DMV sets up inside the Creedmoor City Hall boardroom typically every other month, beginning in January, on the first Thursday of the first full week of the month from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Scheduled dates for 2020 are January 9, March 5, May 7, July 9, September 10, and November 5. Note: This schedule is subject to change; please contact the Oxford DMV office at (919) 693-6128 for the latest information.
NC DMV's mobile office contains all the components of a brick-and-mortar DMV office, but it is transported in a specially outfitted SUV and can be assembled almost anywhere.
The Department of Homeland Security is delaying the Real ID enforcement deadline another 12 months to Oct. 1, 2021. All 50 states have an extension, which means passengers can continue to use their current driver’s licenses as usual for domestic travel.
